Aftercare

What should you do?
- Shampoo twice when washing, gently cleaning beneath the weft to remove build-up.
- Hold your hair in one hand when brushing to avoid pulling on the roots
- Apply a deep conditioning or nourishing treatment weekly
- Always use a leave-in spray to keep hair soft and manageable
- Protect your extensions from heat - always apply a heat protectant before styling
- Sleep with your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail using a scrunchie
- Use your extension brush daily, including at the roots, to prevent tangles
- Stick with professional, stylist recommended products only
- Apply a few drops of oil daily to lock in moisture and shine
- Wash your hands after applying sunscreen - residue can discolour extensions
- If your extensions get wet (especially in pools or the ocean), wash them as soon as possible
What to avoid
- Never sleep with damp or wet hair, it can lead to tangling and matting
- Avoid high buns and ponytails for the first 2 weeks to prevent unnecessary strain on your scalp
- Don’t scrub or tug extensions harshly while washing or brushing
- Never swim with tangled or knotted hair - it can lead to major matting
- Don’t go beyond 8 weeks without retightening unless approved by your stylist
- Avoid protein rich products - they can dry out your extensions
- Avoid using supermarket or drugstore hair products as they aren’t designed for extension care
-
Do Not colour or bleach your extensions at home. Always consult a professional for any colour refresh or tone corrections
